Dr. Reo N. Leslie, Jr. is the Founder, CEO and School Director of the Colorado School for Family Therapy, Inc., a 501 © (3) non-profit organization and school that educates counselors, clinical supervisors, licensure candidates, psychotherapists, and ministers. The School is approved and regulated by the State of Colorado Department of Higher Education division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS).
Dr. Leslie has taught graduate courses at the M.A. and Ph.D. levels in:

As an Ordained pastor since 1977, in both the Baptist Church (PNBC) and the United Church of Christ (UCC), Dr Leslie has served in several parish and institutional ministries including churches in:

He also has had Chaplaincies in:

Dr. Leslie holds several degrees:
- Masters of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (1977)
- Master of Science in Theology from McCormick Theological Seminary (1982)
- Master of Arts in International Relations from United States International University (1989)
- Master of Science in Management from Salve Regina University (1990)
- Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Affairs from the Naval War College (1990)
- Doctor of Ministry in Psychology and Theology from Chicago Theological Seminary (1979)
During the 1980's, Dr. Leslie studied the Person Centered Approach (PCA) to psychology with Dr. Carl Rogers and his associates at the Center for the Studies of the Person and the Carl Rogers Institute for Psychotherapy, Training and Supervision in San Diego, CA.
He has certificates in the Person-Centered Approach (PCA), Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Denver Center for Marital and Family Studies, and Play Therapy from Rocky Mountain Solutions. Dr. Leslie also studied Jungian psychology with Robert Moore, Robert Bly, Robert Lee, James Hillman, and the C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado in the 1990's.
Dr. Leslie has presented papers, workshops, classes and lectures (nationally and internationally) at professional conferences. In his work and studies, Dr. Leslie has traveled to Ghana, Guam, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Kenya, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Australia, Singapore, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the Canary Islands, Mexico, Canada, Antigua, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and throughout the United States.
A native of Chicago and long-time resident of San Diego, Dr. Leslie is married to the former Evelyn Johnson of Covington, Louisiana, who is a partner in his counseling, supervisory and consulting work. He may be
contacted for counseling, consulting, clinical supervision or training.
He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Hawaii and Colorado, a Clinical Member and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) of the Association for Play Therapy (APT), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), a Diplomate in the American Academy of Clinical Sexology (DAACS), and a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) III.
Dr. Leslie is also an approved provider of the Jurisprudence Workshop. He has taught psychology on the graduate level at the University of Guam (UoG), Naropa University, and Asbury Theological Seminary and has taught at University of Northern Colorado at Greeley, Argosy University, and at the post-graduate level at his own school.
Dr. Leslie was voted the first "Supervisor of the Year " in 2003 by the Colorado Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) Board of Directors for his supervision of MFT and AAMFT Approved Supervisor candidates. In July 2005 Dr. Leslie was appointed to the Board of Professional Counselor Examiners by Governor Owens of Colorado. In July, 2006 he was elected Vice Chair of the Professional Counselors Examiners Board.
In 2007 Governor Ritter appointed Dr. Leslie as the Mental Health and Substance Representative on the State of Colorado Commission for Juvenile and Criminal Justice. Dr. Leslie served in this office, and on the State Drug Abuse Policy Task Force and Minority OverRepresentation Committee, until July 2012.
